Why Spring gives me mixed feelings.

Neat-o aspects of Spring:

1. BUMBLEBEES

Oh my god, they're so cute. Painfully cute. Terribly cute. They're just fluffy little honey-makin' cuties, and I love them. I don't love hornets who look like bees, wasps, angry bees, or angry birds, because they are all potentiall painfull. But bumblebees are the bee's knees.






2. THE SUN.

I MISSED DURING THE WINTER. Why don't I hibernate?







Stupid aspects of Spring:

1. SPRING FLOWERS

"Spring Flowers are so pretty! They smell so nice! Let's go frolic in the freshly bloomed tulips or whatever!" NO, SHUT UP. THEY'RE EVERYWHERE. ALL THE TIME. AND THOSE CHERRY BLOSSOMS. I HATE THEM TOO. I HAVE ALLERGIES, DANGIT.




2. HAPPY COUPLES

The second Spring has srung, all of these couples emerge from the cracks in the wall to hold hands and snuggle and kiss and other nonsense. THEY ARE ALWAYS IN MY WAY. WHY ARE THEY EVEN IN PUBLIC IF THEY'RE JUST GOING TO LEAN AGAINST WALLS AND BUSHES AND BEING ALL COUPLEY. JUST GO HOME, I NEED TO USE THE BATHROOM.

Patches

The coolest jackets came from WWII. I say that like it's a fact because it is a fact. (I'm laughing at my own joke, if you couldn't tell.)

The color, the cut, the pockets; all coolio, Julio. I think I like the patches and pictures on the back the best, though. The nicknames of the army companies are already cool, but then they had patches and murals to help identify them, and the art is always cool. I don't know how else to describe it besides cool.

And since we all know I like fighterpilots, I like the fighterpilot jackets with patches the best. The naval patches were pretty cool too, though.

Flowers

I don't know why, but those floral prints that look like they belong on your grandmother's couch really appeal to me. It probably helps that those kind of patterns were mainstream during the summer. I'm not too sure if they're still in fashion, but stuff like that doesn't affect me much anyway.



I feel like these prints are tacky to most people, but since I have questionable tastes, they're cool to me.

The Blues

I don't know why, but January was my official blues month. My best friend was John Lee Hooker with a sprinkle of B.B. King, and a guitar solo would impress me enough to make me just sit for while, and bask in the awesome.

I shouldn't actually be speaking in past tense, since Mr. Hooker accompanies me on the way home everyday. Even the air around him oozes nonchalance and knowledge of deeper stuff. He's that kind of guy who everybody stops whatever they're doing to listen to.

If there's anything cooler than a blues guitarist, I've never heard of it.

The Rager

So, Cudi's newest album, Man on the Moon II: The Legend of Mr. Rager, dropped in October of last year, and did pretty well. It followed the same story-telling type format as his previous album, but I feel like there were a couple of songs that didn't have anything to do with the story, and the story didn't completely unfold until the last few songs.

But, I still loved it, of course.

The 1950's probably had some of the best ads I have ever seen. They're also pretty funny.

What man golfs in his underwear?

I don't understand what this is supposed to be advertising, but it's pretty scary.

Nice Shoes, bro.

The color is nice, kind of like bean paste. I think I just really like brown. These and an aviator jacket sound like a boss outfit. I can dream, right?

Fighter Pilots

WWII fighter pilots are the coolest looking people. Those goggles and jackets and helmets and glasses, I'm not sure how being this cool is even legal.

If I had goggles and a helmet like that, nobody would mess with me. I'd be so intense-looking, geez.

This jacket is just cool looking... I don't really think I can describe how cool it seems.

A helmet like that could really make a girl feel cool.
